this little dachshund puppy i made yesterday is almost too sweet for me. too cute. but still, i like it. i drew it on a piece of paper, scanned it, and colored it on the computer in Photoshop. soon, i am hoping to completely change my limited knowledge of digital art with the use of the Wacom tablet my husband got me for Valentine's day (he's a keeper, that husband of mine).
but, so far, the corel paints program that came with it will not work with my 64-bit windows 7 computer. windows' website says it is compatible but after much installing/reinstalling and troubleshooting it is not happening. so i'll fiddle with that today. or go to the beach. it's going to be 82 degrees here!!
i hope you had a great valentine's day. we took the kids to see A Wrinkle in Time at the South Coast Repertory theater. the kids are currently reading the book, which was a childhood favorite of mine. we all loved the play. it was pretty terrific, wild, exciting, scientific, stimulating, and funny. that sounds like my household in a nutshell, actually. if you live around here, i highly recommend taking the kids to a play in the theater for young audiences series. they are really fabulous performances. and the kids can meet the cast and get autographs after each show.
president's day here today means no school. the kids are currently painting and playing and playing with the animals. but with this tantalizing weather we are off to play.
don't forget to zoom down to my post on january 25th for the One Heart One World give-away. today is the last day to enter. everyone is welcome!
