I don't normally make cards. I suppose I'm lazy. I did have some of my artwork printed onto cards. I tend to use those instead.
But my friend Liz had seen a project of mine with a tiny accordion book inside of a CD holder. And she wanted me to teach her how to make one. So I thought we would do something similar but as a Valentine Card. I gathered up lots of colorful papers, stickers, German scrap, paints and so on and headed to Liz's house to play. And here's what I ended up with...
as i said, it started as a Valentine. but i didn't finish it before the holiday. so it turned into something else.
it is now a card for a dear friend of mine.
the ribbon unties to reveal the accordion book. it's about the size of a pack of matches. the picture of Jesus is a piece of packing tape. and those silver strips are iridescent stickers.
there's a wish ticket on the inside cover. and a little green beetle on the first page of the book. he has a rub-on that says This Way...
the little book has six pages on the front pull out. on the back i wrote a personal note to my friend.
love me - see me

Look UP
it was a really fun project. it is a bit time-consuming but to make for someone special it is surely worth the effort. 'hope you enjoyed it. xo-k
