today i headed over to balboa island to hang out in the studio of my friend, carole akins.

and she leads the art therapy group in which i particpate (she's been leading it for ten years).

a few times now i've helped her come up with the idea for the workshop that we'll do.
and today we were making crowns. we're going to have two workshops in the same day this go around. hopefully this will allow more people to participate. i'm looking forward to making some funky crowns over the next few weeks to give the participants some inspiration for their own. i hope you are finding time to put some creativity into your week.

I LOVE this picture of you with just a hint of pink lipstick and the crown. LOVE IT!!! I don't know how you do it but you never seem to age. You're more beautiful now then when I first met you so many years ago. Love you friend!!
