a friend of mine once advised me that when buying stones to make jewelry for yourself, buy the very best stones you can afford.
and one stone that i have long coveted is rutilated quartz, also known as Venus-hair stone for the golden needles captured within.
the cut of these stones is so amazing with facet upon facet.
there is something to be said for following good advice.

Making sweet gifts to ourselves is a sweet thing !
Gorgeous stones !

I love rutilated quartz and these are particularly lovely drops. I didn't know that other name though - that's fun!

beautious! rut. quartz is considered a high energy stone, that helps one over come fears and regain focus. Also known to repel negative energies and increase spiritual communications. Good, powerful stuff, just like you friend! XOX
