Every year it is with much anticipation that I await December first. Because that is when the 12 Days of Christmas begins. And, luckily for me, I do not get a partridge in a pear tree on this day. No, no, no! Instead, I get beautiful hand-crafted Christmas ornaments, one to open each day, created by this fabulous group of artists...
Day 1 Danita
Day 2 Pilar Pollack
Day 3 Jackie Allison
Day 4 Melissa George
Day 5 Ruth Rae
Day 6 Maija Lepore
Day 7 Crystal Neubauer
Day 8 Sally Turlington
Day 9 Joanna Pierotti
Day 10 Kelly Snelling (that's me)
Day 11 Deryn Mentock
Day 12 Lou McCulloch
Day 13 Lorraine George
You may have noticed that this year we have a baker's dozen of days. So we are really celebrating the thirteen days of Christmas. Not to confuse you but to amuse you...or something like that. :0) And please forgive the lack of artistry in the display of my gifts above. Yes, the gifts are on the new puppy bed. The puppy hasn't ever slept on his new bed. I am so tired I really don't know what the heck I am doing. I love, love Faelan but my goodness three hours of sleep strung together over three days is just not enough. Maybe opening a gift will boost my brain...
And since today is the first day, all the girls will open gift number one from Danita. Here is her pressie all wrapped up.
Fabulous Santa tag!
And here is her ornament that she made for us.
Love Her! She's a little girl with her ankles crossed, carrying a sweet white Christmas tree in her fancy dress. I love Danita's girls and will be delighted to hang this on my tree each year. Thank you, Danita! She's wonderful!
Lastly, when it is the wee hours of the morning and you are bleary-eyed and having your ankles bitten as you search for a patch of sunshine to take photos, do NOT turn your back on your basket of pressies!
Of the whole basket of gifts he honed right in on yours, Pilar! He knows that we've been talking about him and he must be looking forward to seeing you. lol! And, I ran to grab the gift, put it back, shooed him away, then got back to taking the photos. But, he was stealth and sneaked back into the basket...
He got it again! I had to take the pictures because I knew you would crack up. He never touched another gift, just yours, and only the ribbon. Hee. You have to come and see him soon so he can bite your ankles!
Be sure to check out the links to all the girls blogs. I know Danita made different figures so you'll want to see them all. And, you will be delighted with the art of all these wonderfully talented people.
Stay tuned as I'll be posting each day with the next ornaments.
