"when you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky." - Buddha
it was such a good day. jam-packed with many favorite activities with my family around me all along the way.
we made it to the farmer's market (my favorite saturday morning place to be) for locally grown, in-season, organic produce, gloriously fresh cage-free eggs, and delicious local goat cheese (and hawaiian shaved ice!).
afterward, the kids played with their friends. the honey watched football. i hammered and filed several pendants.
i had help...
later, we bathed the cats for the first time (and i have the scratches to prove it).
we had an amazing dinner of bruschetta, fettuccine bolognese, conchiglie gamberi, and panna cotta and watched dogs 101 on animal planet together. everyone has an opinion on what sort of puppy we will get. so our research is including the children and the big people.
as this day is winding to a close, i am thankful for so much. even though we didn't do anything big and amazing, it is the small precious moments that string together to create this beautiful life.

The farmers market looks so enticing! I love markets like that! And your kitty looks soooo adorable, now I have to hug both of you! What a sweet face!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Sounds like you had the perfect day! Except maybe the giving the cats a bath part! In my experience, cats NEVER like to be given a bath!
It was so nice seeing you again last Sunday.

What a wonderful day! And I love the quote. Kelly, I have to say yet again how absolutely stunning your boys are. I've begun to realize that the tug I feel when I see those pics is that your youngest reminds me of my grandson in Hawaii, whom I haven't seen in a year. There is something magical in those eyes of his...yes?

Sounds like the perfect day to me with lots of fresh produce, fresh air, and family. Your boys are so handsome and lucky to have you as their Mom!

I have been feeling this way these days too, beautiful Kelly, laughing at the sky. Thank you for sharing your gratitude and joy with us !
can't wait to see what kind of pooch comes to you ! we are going to pick up a new kitty we are rescuing tonight. We lost our 21 year old cat last week and it is just too empty without her! The new little guy is completely black, full of piss and vinegar and we will call him Cosmos. Can't wait !
Life is good !
