i'm finally home again, home again. hurray! and i have just returned from the post office with my giant bin of grocery fliers, bills, and all manner of flotsam and jetsam. but deep down underneath the piles of paper i found the most fabulous Mail Art. clap, clap, clap! check it out...
isn't it the best!!
love this!!!
this is a package from a friend of mine that i went to high school with (and middle school and elementary school. right, dru? we went to longfellow together? my brain, my brain!) we reconnected on facebook and she has had me in stitches ever since. she had hollered for my address right before i left town. which means that i forgot all about her sending me something until i put my hands on this fabulous envelope.
and look at what was wrapped up in a cracker box inside...
this delicious red ring from Tootsie's! my very own Dru ring!! Dru lost her wedding ring and replaced it with a "diamond" version like this. and she sent me one of my own as a surprise. i am so stoked! i've been wearing it this morning and flitting my hand nonstop.
i love it, Dru! and i really love the mail art!!! you are so precious and kind to think of me. thank you, friend, so very much!!!
do you have an old friend who would love a surprise? i know i do. i think this is the most fun idea to spread some happy around. i'm going to get busy on an envelope of treasures asap. :0)

Yay for yummy mail art surprises and for true friendship loving ! Love the Ruby !

so much fabulous fun!! gorgeous jewel - that was some risky business sending that rock through the mail, especially being wrapped so conspicuously :) here's to old friends!

Brilliant Mail Art!! Surely postment would like it if all mail was like this? And I love that bling ring, I would be 'flitting' my hand around too if I had one.
