i used to think that i needed to like everyone
this was long ago (thank goodness)
if i met someone
and didn't like them
i thought i should Try Harder
i should be More Nice
i should Smile Bigger
but finally i realized
it is okay
not to like everyone
are better
liked from a distance
and some people
should never
be liked
at all
sometimes
i don't even like myself
very much

I don't always like everyone but I hate it when everyone doesn't like me! What!

How right you are. It took me a long time to realize that most of us can count our really good, close friends on one hand (MAYBE two if we're really lucky!)...the rest are casual friends and acquaintances. It's not necessarily a bad realization. Hope you are well, friend!

I think that it's rather healthy from time to time to not like yourself. Often it is those times that we can successfuly make life changes. But on the other hand it is very unhealthy to not love yourself. :)
